Hola guys!

If you’re here, I’m sure you’re planning a trip to Rajasthan. First of all, congratulations! Finally, your parents agreed, and your friends too (if you’re traveling with them)!

Recently, I needed a break from the 800+ AQI in Delhi, so my friends and I decided to explore Jodhpur, The Blue City. It was a last-minute plan, as we were desperate for some fresh air. Rajasthan, with its clear skies and beautiful views, turned out to be the perfect getaway. Thanks to Saathi’s planner, I didn’t have to spend hours searching on Google—everything was right there, from air quality to temperature, making the planning so much easier!

In this blog, I’ll share all the amazing things to do in Jodhpur. Our trip was a last-minute decision, and with only confirmed tickets to Jodhpur, we decided to explore this beautiful city first. It truly is a must-visit destination! Since our plan was spontaneous, we didn’t have much time to dig through Google for the exact details—especially the temperature, as every site had a different reading. Thankfully, Saathi stepped in to help, giving us the right temperature in seconds. But that’s not all! It also made it easier to show our parents how safe Jodhpur really was, helping us reassure them every step of the way

After booking everything, the next challenge was packing. I’m not the biggest fan of packing and somehow always manage to forget something important. With just one night to pack for Jodhpur, I was feeling a bit rushed. But thankfully, Saathi came to the rescue again! It created a detailed checklist of everything I needed for the trip. Thanks to Saathi, I managed to pack everything in just one hour—my fastest packing ever!

With friends, everything is always a good time, right? Our 11-hour journey felt like it flew by in what felt like just 11 minutes. We spent the trip scrolling through YouTube, looking for the top Jodhpur attractions and learning more about the stunning Blue Houses. However, one thing we couldn’t figure out was the availability of reliable ride options like Uber or Ola. That’s when Saathi came to the rescue! While adding our expenses, I came across recommendations for the best taxi apps in Jodhpur, along with useful suggestions for hospitals and cozy coffee shops. It made our journey smooth, safe, and even more memorable!

Finally, we reached our hotel, where they were using a not-so-common brand of water bottles. Being someone who needs good-quality water, I was relieved knowing Saathi had my back. I checked, and tap water in Jodhpur wasn’t safe. So, our first task was to grab mineral water bottles.

Since we only had two days to explore the city, we didn’t want to miss out on anything. After a quick rest, we headed out to find some local food spots because Jodhpur’s cuisine was what I was most excited about. Blue City truly has amazing food!We tried famous dishes like Kachori, Mirchi Vada, and the delightful Mawa Kachori. Every bite was a taste of Rajasthan’s rich flavors!  While we planned to shop that evening, shops were closing earlier than expected. So, if you’re planning to shop in Jodhpur, make sure you leave by 6:00 PM. At least we had some delicious food to enjoy!

Our hotel had a rooftop, offering a stunning view of the iconic Blue Houses of Jodhpur. The sight was absolutely mesmerizing, and I highly recommend booking hotels with a rooftop that captures the entire beauty of the Blue City.

The next day, we set out to explore some of Jodhpur’s most amazing attractions:

Mehrangarh Fort: A must-visit for its rich history and panoramic views that leave you in awe.

Jaswant Thada: A serene cenotaph near the fort, perfect for a peaceful moment away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Pachetia Hill Sunset View: Known for its breathtaking sunsets, but be prepared for a bit of a trek. We ended up walking nearly 20,000 steps that day, and every step was worth it for the stunning view.

The locals in Jodhpur were incredibly kind and helpful. Whenever we needed directions or tips, someone was always there to assist us. We had some great conversations, especially with the kids who acted as our little guides, making the experience even more special.

On our final day, we visited the Umaid Bhawan Museum, which was stunning. The wall clocks were a highlight for me! Even though I’m not usually a fan of museums, this one left me amazed with its rich history and captivating stories that made the experience unforgettable.

Afterward, we headed to Ghanta Ghar, the best spot for shopping in Jodhpur. A tip: Explore a few shops before making any purchases, as prices can vary quite a bit.

Since we were paying for each other during the trip, splitting expenses afterward could have been a hassle. Thankfully, we used Saathi to track all our expenses easily, making the process smooth and stress-free.

Our last stop was Toorji ka Jhalra, a historic stepwell with a fascinating past. Each guide shared a different version of the story, adding an element of mystery to the experience. Standing there, listening to the various tales, felt like stepping back in time.

Sadly, we had to wrap up our Jodhpur journey as we had a train that night. But the memories we made were unforgettable, made even better with my friends and the amazing Saathi app.Stay tuned for more blogs – the journey doesn’t end here! Until then, bye and take care!
